The Reincarnated Assassin Is a Genius Swordsman

Chapter 1525

Chapter 1525 PUAAAK! The instant Burren, Martha, and Runaan's swords deeply carved through Six-Headed Scourge's flesh and were pulled free, sword wounds tore open at his neck, chest, and forehead, and a chillingly violent gush of blood burst out. Vital points where even a mere graze would cost a life. Without exchanging a single word, the three of them had pierced their enemy's throat to perfection. "GUAAAAAAAH!" The Six-Headed Scourge's neck was cut halfway through, a thick hole had been bored into his chest, and even his forehead and left eye had burst open. As if unable to bear the vicious pain he was feeling for the first time, he let out a scream that shook the very earth. "We did it!" Martha let out a cry of exhilaration as she looked back. "We actually did it!" She clenched her fist tightly as she watched blood pour endlessly from Six-Headed Scourge. "This is…." Burren raised a trembling hand and stared at his sword, dripping with Six-Headed Scourge's blood. "Is this Transcendence." His lips quivered as he felt himself finally reach the realm of transcendence he had longed for so badly. "……." Runaan narrowed her eyes at the sword mark she herself had carved into Six-Headed Scourge's forehead. 'I thought I felt a sword momentum different from before….' As if something had crossed her mind while fighting Six-Headed Scourge, she calmly closed her eyes and opened them again. "WAAAAAAAH!" "We finally cut down Six-Headed Scourge!" "It's Transcendence! Those two have finally become Transcendents too!" "Victory is right in front of us!" The Light Wind Palace swordsmen, too, sensed that Burren and Martha had broken through the wall and cut down Six-Headed Scourge, and let out a cheer. "That's all thanks to us!" "W-we just backed them up, that's all…?" While coughing up blood, Krein shouted that he'd been a huge help, whereas Dorian shook his head, saying they hadn't really done much. "They've ascended." Mark Goetun let out a faint smile, as if proud that Burren and Martha had gone on ahead first. "Why are you just smiling? We should go too." Trevin said they too needed to reach Transcendence, and pushed himself up on legs drained of strength. "Well done…." Runaan nodded as she looked, in turn, at Burren intoxicated with himself and Martha basking in victory. "Now let's finish this for certain…." She said Six-Headed Scourge still wasn't dead, and raised her sword once more. "That's right." Martha narrowed her eyes at Six-Headed Scourge, who was somehow trying to stop his bleeding. "We have to finish this!" She said they hadn't won yet, and lowered her stance. "A wounded tiger is the most dangerous of all, but…." Burren steadied his ragged breathing and raised a bitter wind over his sword. "I think we can do it now." He nodded firmly, certain that they could finish off Six-Headed Scourge. "Let's end this…." Runaan stood at the front again and looked back. "All together…." She nodded slowly, saying not just Burren and Martha, but all of Light Wind Palace should go together. "Alright! Let's win in the name of Light Wind Palace!" Martha said this wasn't just their fight alone, and stepped her left foot forward. "Let's go." At Burren's command, Light Wind Palace advanced their Footwork toward Six-Headed Scourge once more. "War Horse Heavy Charge!" This time, the formation wasn't shaped like a sword as before. The Light Wind Palace swordsmen moved in a single line, maintaining perfect formation like a cavalry unit. KUGUGUGUGUGU! Burren, Martha, and Runaan charged out at the very front, and the Light Wind Palace swordsmen followed behind them, causing a tremendous tremor. They looked less like swordsmen and more like a well-drilled army, yet the fierce Aura wave unique to Martial Artists accompanied them all the same. "Ngh…." Six-Headed Scourge stepped back as he watched the Light Wind Palace swordsmen rushing at him, radiating a terrifying Aura. His face had gone pale, his eyes trembling, as if his Fighting Spirit kept draining away from his deep, gaping wounds. "Endless Slaughter Formation!" At Burren's order, the formation of Light Wind Palace swordsmen, which had stretched out like a horizon, shifted. The swordsmen at the far left and right sped up while those in the center slowed down, instantly forming a sword formation that encircled Six-Headed Scourge. CHIAAAAANG! True to being friends who had trained together since their trainee days, the Light Wind Palace swordsmen, without exchanging a single word this time either, moved in ways that never interfered with one another, thrusting their swords toward every vital point on Six-Headed Scourge's body. FWOOOOK! It was the moment Burren, Martha, Runaan, and the Light Wind Palace swordsmen all moved to stab Six-Headed Scourge at once. "You've taken the bait." The Six-Headed Scourge's twisted lips curled upward. "I've been waiting for this! You worms!" He stretched out the hand that had been covering his wound, a wicked smile on his lips. HWAAAAAAAAK! The blood gushing out from the fatal wounds Burren, Runaan, and Martha had inflicted on Six-Headed Scourge turned a dark greenish hue and sprayed toward the Light Wind Palace swordsmen closing in on him. "Hmm…." "This is!" Burren and Martha's jaws trembled as they watched Six-Headed Scourge's blood spraying out over all of Light Wind Palace. "It's poison!" "It's deadly poison! Hold your breath and cut it away!" The two of them cut through the poisoned blood Six-Headed Scourge had sprayed with their swords, shouting for the Light Wind Palace swordsmen to evade. "Ngh!" "Struggling to the very end!" "Just die already! You monster!" The Six-Headed Scourge's poisoned blood wasn't nearly as fast as the shockwaves he usually unleashed. Since the Light Wind Palace swordsmen hadn't let their guard down either, they were able to cut through or deflect the poisoned blood without much difficulty. FWOOOOOSH! Burren summoned a bitter wind and blew Six-Headed Scourge's poison energy up into the sky. "This guy's completely out of strength! Even his poison is nothing much!" Martha gritted her teeth as she cut down every last bit of poison energy spreading around them. "Stab him for certain this time!" She said they should strike while Six-Headed Scourge was weakened from using his poisoned blood, and charged forward again with her sword gripped tight. "Let's go!" "We have to end it here!" It was just as the Light Wind Palace swordsmen followed Martha to stab Six-Headed Scourge once more. "Didn't I say it already? That you'd taken the bait." Even though the poisoned blood he'd sprayed had all been blocked, Six-Headed Scourge never lost his smile. "You're all fish caught on a hook!" He stamped his foot, his smile only growing thicker. KUUUUUNG! Even though the Six-Headed Scourge stamped his foot down on the ground, no shockwave burst forth like before. What surged up instead of a shockwave was all the blood he had shed until now. HWAAAAAAAK! The blood that had poured from his wounds and soaked the ground met the blood he had sprayed at Light Wind Palace in midair, forming a dark green sphere that engulfed all of Light Wind Palace. A sphere-shaped Barrier. True to being the worst kind of monster, he had used his poison energy to create a Barrier that would dissolve everything it touched. "This is nothing!" Krein, saying he'd cut through the poison just as before, brought his aura-charged sword down against the wall of poison energy. Plip. But Krein's sword couldn't cut through the wall of the Barrier. No, even before it could cut, the aura melted away first, and even the steel within it began to dissolve. "It's dangerous, fall back!" Martha pushed the swordsmen back and swung her sword to push away the poison energy. "It's heavy…." She gritted her teeth, as if even deflecting the poison energy wasn't easy. Until now, the poison Six-Headed Scourge had unleashed hadn't been all that strong, unlike his terrifying physical abilities, flames, or Cold Energy. But the poison Barrier he had created now was intense enough to melt a lump of steel and even aura with a mere touch. "Th-this is…." Krein's jaw trembled as he held up his melted sword. "You underestimated me." Six-Headed Scourge curled his lips as he walked over the ground of poison energy he himself had created. "This Barrier is the Poison Demon's Formation. It is the sovereign of poison that swallows humans, human swords, and human martial arts alike." He tilted his chin, saying the Poison Demon's Formation was a hell no human could escape. "Melt away like the insects you are." Six-Headed Scourge sneered, already certain of victory, and crossed his arms. It meant he intended to simply watch Light Wind Palace die without even needing to step in himself. "If I kill all of you, my malice will grow even stronger, and the Bear Fire Demon's seal will loosen as well." Six-Headed Scourge snickered, as though he already considered Light Wind Palace dead. "Then, together with the Demonic Dragon of Destruction, I'll kill your master, Raon Zieghart." He waved his hand, saying he'd send Raon along too, so the Light Wind Palace swordsmen wouldn't be lonely. "Ngh!" Burren gritted his teeth as he glared at Six-Headed Scourge. 'It's even hard to move.' The Poison Demon's Formation Six-Headed Scourge had unleashed wasn't simply about melting people with poison energy. From the moment one entered this formation, their breathing broke down, and a powerful pressure bore down on the body, making it hard even to breathe. 'I think I can block it somehow.' The mysterious Aura that had been shining from his sword since earlier. He felt certain that he could use it to block the Poison Demon's Formation. 'Though I don't think that's this power's real purpose.' Right now, his power wasn't meant to protect others, but to kill enemies. He could use it in reverse, but it seemed like the power would be halved if he did. 'Still, there's no other choice….' Just as Burren was drawing out the mysterious power and about to swing his sword, Runaan reached out a hand toward him. "I'll…." Runaan let out a ragged breath as she looked at Burren. "I'll do it…." She shook her head, saying she would block Six-Headed Scourge's poison energy herself. "Burren, Martha, please finish this…." Runaan smiled faintly, saying it was a favor she was asking of them. "Then…." Runaan steadied her breathing and drove Snow Flower into the ground where the poison energy was boiling up. "It's useless." Six-Headed Scourge sneered. "Because even that sword of yours, one that wouldn't seem out of place being called a Noted Sword, will melt away too." He tilted his chin arrogantly as he watched Snow Flower's blade slowly begin to melt. "Just like this, like an insect…." "No." Runaan cut Six-Headed Scourge's words off flatly. "I can freeze it." Runaan's lips curled upward. A fresh smile, beyond mere brightness. It was a vivid smile she had never shown before, yet it suited her all too well. Sword Domain: Incarnation of Black Ice. (E/N: I double checked and, yes, it is a different term than Runaan's original sword domain, so she either got a 2nd one off-screen, author forgot, or I missed something. I don't even really care about this point so I will just leave this as is.) Over her sword, more than half melted away, a blue-tinged Frost began to bloom. The blade of Frost did not melt even against Six-Headed Scourge's poison energy, and along with a brilliant light, it bloomed into a pure white flower bud in midair. HWAAAAAAAK! The bud of Frost slowly opened, and a brilliant yet warm light flickered throughout the entire Barrier, dyeing everything it touched pure white. CRRRRACK! Even the Poison Demon's Formation, said to melt away the very existence of humans, froze solid under the Cold Energy of the Incarnation of Black Ice, unable to release even the faintest poison energy. "GUOOOOK!" Six-Headed Scourge, too, failed to escape the light of the Incarnation of Black Ice, and with the left half of his upper body and the right half of his lower body frozen solid, he couldn't move properly. In contrast, even though Burren, Martha, and the Light Wind Palace swordsmen were bathed in that bitterly cold light, they didn't freeze. If anything, they seemed to gain vitality, gripping their swords tighter with renewed strength. "Let's go!" Martha let out a roar and charged forward, and the Light Wind Palace swordsmen followed behind her, thrusting their swords in together. "GUAAAAAAH!" Six-Headed Scourge screamed in fury and unleashed another shockwave. He tried to push back Light Wind Palace and shatter the Cold Energy that had frozen his poison, but the Frost of the Incarnation of Black Ice never gave way. "Thank you, Runaan." Burren slowly began to move, looking at Runaan, who trembled with her sword still gripped tight as if she had spent all her strength. "Just as you said, I'll finish this." He approached Six-Headed Scourge, who was struggling to push back Light Wind Palace, and thrust forward his sword, still radiating that mysterious power. Sword Domain: Silent Radiance.
