The Reincarnated Assassin Is a Genius Swordsman

Chapter 1520

Chapter 1520 "S-Sir Raon won!" Dorian pointed at the sky with trembling hands. "The Head of House has defeated Derus Robert!" He cheered toward Raon, who was looking down over the ground with eyes as calm as a god of the sword. "I-it's not just Derus Robert…." Krein sucked in a sharp breath. "He cut down the Demonic Dragon of Destruction and Archangel Michael too!" He gulped hard as he watched the Demonic Dragon of Destruction plummet with its chest pierced through, and Archangel Michael, her body sliced in half. "A surprise attack from behind!" Martha looked at Raon, the corner of her mouth curling up. "That guy! He really paid them back properly!" She let out a gasp of admiration, sensing that Raon had avenged Glenn. "A perfect…." Runaan sniffled and nodded. "…swordsmanship." She closed her eyes and opened them again, saying that the sword strike Raon had unleashed from behind had traced a trajectory more beautiful than anything else. "As expected of our Head of House!" "He never betrays our trust!" "Still, I was a little worried today." "I didn't even pay attention to the fight up there at all." "Same here. He's a guy who wins no matter what." The Light Wind Palace Swordsmen too raised their fists toward Raon and let out a roar, as if they'd known all along he would win. "Enough. Praising the Head of House can wait until later." Burren waved a hand at the Light Wind Palace Swordsmen and stepped forward. "Focus on the fight in front of you right now." He narrowed his brow deeply as he watched the Six-Headed Scourge rampaging. Gooooooo! At Burren's order, every Light Wind Palace Swordsman who had been watching Raon raised a tremendous aura and fixed their eyes on the Six-Headed Scourge. "Damn it…." The Six-Headed Scourge ground his teeth as he looked up at the sky, paying no mind to Light Wind Palace at all. "He told me to just trust him, and now he's been torn apart so badly he can't even revive!" He stamped his foot, recalling how Derus Robert had been shredded to pieces by Raon's sword and melted away. "This war's a complete disaster!" The Six-Headed Scourge glared at Raon, teeth clenched, as if there were no answer no matter what he did. "Without Derus Robert, how am I supposed to stop that monster!" If his power hadn't been sealed, he could have stood against Raon, or at least fled. But with his Martial Prowess suppressed because of that damned Bear Fire Demon, the moment that man came down, he'd be as good as dead. 'Michael's been held back by Pride, and that dragon bastard isn't even living up to his name!' The Six-Headed Scourge spat as he watched the Demonic Dragon of Destruction, being pushed back by Darkan and steadily accumulating wounds. 'Raon Zieghart's going to come for me next… hm?' The Six-Headed Scourge, clenching his teeth at Raon, let his eyes flick slightly. 'Why isn't that guy moving?' Raon, arms crossed as if he had no intention of moving anymore, was watching the fight between Darkan and the dragon. 'No way….' The Six-Headed Scourge gulped hard. 'Is he planning to leave me to those brats?' He let out a hollow laugh as he looked at the Light Wind Palace Swordsmen standing before him. It was clear Raon Zieghart wasn't moving in order to let Light Wind Palace gain experience. 'If that's the case….' The Six-Headed Scourge clicked his tongue at length. 'There's a chance I can survive!' If Raon Zieghart moved directly, there'd be no way to survive, but he was confident he'd never die to the likes of Light Wind Palace. 'That damned Bear Fire Demon's seal has its limits too.' The seal placed by the Bear Fire Demon and the Archmages was certainly suppressing his Martial Prowess with powerful force. But as time passed, the barrier would weaken, and he'd gradually be able to recover his strength. 'Good.' The Six-Headed Scourge clicked his tongue and gazed at Light Wind Palace. 'I'll accept this humiliating fight!' He spread both hands, resolving to drag out the fight with Light Wind Palace until his Martial Prowess recovered. "Guess we don't even need to deal with that guy anymore, huh?" Krein clicked his tongue as if disappointed. "Because Sir Raon will come down." He lowered his hand, seeming to believe Raon would take care of the Six-Headed Scourge. "N-no…." Dorian shook his head firmly. "T-the Head of House has no intention of moving!" He clicked his tongue, saying Raon would absolutely not move. "I believe I already said this." Burren struck Krein's shoulder and shook his chin. "This is our fight. Make up your mind to finish it with our own hands." He lowered his upper body and raised his sword, telling them not to expect Raon's intervention. "Good!" Martha grinned as she bumped her fists together. "I want to be the one to take care of that damn bastard myself!" She let out a low breath, saying she'd be the one to cut off the Six-Headed Scourge's head. "Mm…." Runaan nodded slowly. "…We have to win, if only for the Bear Fire Demon's sake." She tightened her grip on her sword, recalling the Bear Fire Demon's desperate gaze. "Light Wind Palace." Burren steadied his breath and thrust his sword forward, aiming it at the Six-Headed Scourge's neck. "Formation!" At his shout, the Light Wind Palace Swordsmen, who had been steadying their breath, formed up into a shield-like formation. Thud! The moment Burren's foot struck the ground, the Light Wind Palace Swordsmen behind him charged forward together. They shifted from a shield into the shape of a single sword and surged toward the Six-Headed Scourge. Kugugugugu! The Six-Headed Scourge raised his left foot and stamped it down toward Light Wind Palace. A massive shockwave, born of monstrous force, surged out toward them. "Heavy Sword." At Burren's order, Light Wind Palace, which had been moving as a single blade, halted their steps and thrust their swords forward. Kuuuuuuung! Light Wind Palace formed a wall of blades and perfectly absorbed the tremendous shockwave, then moved toward the Six-Headed Scourge once more. Their speed had slowed, but their direction didn't waver in the slightest. "Ha?" The Six-Headed Scourge frowned deeply as he watched the Light Wind Palace Swordsmen slowly closing in. 'They're blocking this?' He hadn't thought that shockwave would kill all of the swordsmen, but he'd expected at least a few to cough up blood and collapse. Yet they had used their sword formation to perfectly absorb his attack. "Let's see…." The Six-Headed Scourge snorted and reached out a hand. "Take this too!" From his grip, he unleashed flame and wind at once, conjuring a Flame Storm that engulfed all of Light Wind Palace. "North Wind!" Burren thrust his sword upward as he watched the massive fire tornado approaching. Following him, the blades of Light Wind Palace rose like a rain of arrows. Kugugugugu! Light Wind Palace's sword formation summoned the cold northern wind, pushing back the falling Flame Storm and sending it right back at the Six-Headed Scourge. Kwaaaaaaa! The Six-Headed Scourge frowned and reached out a hand as he saw the flame and wind he'd sent at Light Wind Palace coming back at him. At his rough gesture, the returning wind and flame died down in an instant. "Not bad… hm!" The Six-Headed Scourge nodded, then his eyes went wide. Light Wind Palace, whom he'd naturally assumed would still be waiting, had already closed the distance right up to his face. "Wild Dance Formation!" At Burren's order, the Light Wind Palace Swordsmen scattered like a swarm of bees and charged at the Six-Headed Scourge's entire body. "Insolent vermin!" The Six-Headed Scourge ground his teeth and clapped his hands toward the Light Wind Palace Swordsmen closing in before him. Kuwaaaaaang! The instant his palms met, a terrifying shockwave burst out, sending the charging Light Wind Palace Swordsmen flying back even faster than they had rushed in. "Let's go!" "A shockwave like this is nothing compared to focus enhancement training!" "I'll pierce his heart…." But Burren, Martha, and Runaan, who had been moving behind the swordsmen, overcame the massive shock and bore down on the Six-Headed Scourge. Chwaaaaak! Burren's North Wind sliced the Six-Headed Scourge's thigh, Martha's Heavy Sword struck down on his forearm, and Runaan's frost-hued blade pierced his chest. "Keuk!" The Six-Headed Scourge clenched his teeth, sensing that Light Wind Palace's Martial Prowess—especially the swordsmanship of the three officers—had exceeded his expectations. "Get lost!" Along with his fury, flame, poison, wind, and a raging pillar of water surged up at once and engulfed Light Wind Palace. Kugugugugu! The Light Wind Palace Swordsmen didn't retreat even as they took the Six-Headed Scourge's terrifying aura. As if drawing courage from Burren, Martha, and Runaan, they let out a roar and charged forward again. "Whoever it is, doesn't matter! Cut off his head!" "Fine! I'll kill every last one of you!" With the fierce, blade-sharp shouts of Burren and the Six-Headed Scourge, a bloody battle began. * * * 'More than I thought….' Raon nodded slightly as he watched the fight between Light Wind Palace and the Six-Headed Scourge. 'They're fighting well.' Even with most of the Six-Headed Scourge's Martial Prowess sealed, he still possessed strength far surpassing a Transcendent. The gap was such that a single mistake from Light Wind Palace could get them wiped out in an instant, but thanks to Burren's leadership, Martha's fighting spirit, and Runaan's support, a situation had been created where they could fight sufficiently well. -It looks that way to this king too! Wrath lowered his brows as he agreed with his own words. -They've certainly changed! He nodded, saying the Light Wind Palace Swordsmen seemed to have grown through this war. 'I was going to step in if it got dangerous, but….' Raon clicked his tongue briefly. 'Maybe there's no need.' If Light Wind Palace maintained this level of focus, they'd be able to drive a blade into the Six-Headed Scourge's neck before his seal broke. 'Hm….' Raon turned his gaze away from the Six-Headed Scourge and Light Wind Palace, slowly sweeping his eyes across the battlefield. 'The other side's getting sorted out too, more or less.' The shock of seeing Derus Robert, the Demonic Dragon of Destruction, and Archangel Michael go down seemed to hit hard, and Derus Robert's forces began to be one-sidedly overwhelmed. The dead and the Revenants were being swept away, and the remnants of the Five Demons were falling one after another before the might of the Five Kings. 'Then all that's left is to finish things here.' Raon nodded and looked forward again. "Hooo…." Archangel Michael had, through her ashen aura, already reattached her body that had been split in half, and was steadying her breath. "That's enough now, isn't it?" Pride, the Monarch of Arrogance, tilted his chin side to side as he looked at Michael. "Even if you're not ready, answer that you are. I'm bored and it's hard to wait." He raised a hand rippling with arrogance, as if intending to finish things in a single stroke. "…Come." Archangel Michael, her face pale once more, nodded as if to say it was enough, and raised her sword. As if she too meant to finish things quickly, she drew forth a magnificent aura powerful enough to shake the sky. Kugugugugugu! It was just as Pride and Michael were glaring at each other. Kwadeudeudeuk! A chilling sound, as if something on the ground were being torn apart, rang out, and dark crimson flames shot upward as if to pierce the sky. "Kheok…." From behind the flames that had burst out like erupting lava, Darkan's ragged breathing could be heard. He seemed to have taken a direct hit from the dragon's Authority of Destruction, and he coughed up blood as he fell to his knees on legs charred black. "Darkan!" Just as Raon was about to descend toward Darkan, a chilling gleam of eyes flashed before him. It was the Demonic Dragon of Destruction. The dragon, which had been dying with its chest pierced through, was rising into the sky, radiating an aura even more powerful than before. 'No way… ah!' Raon gripped the Heavenly Drive and lifted his head, letting out a sharp breath. Pajijijijik! The western sky shattered. The Vast Heaven Sword's barrier, which had been suppressing more than half of the dragon's Martial Prowess, had been smashed apart by a web-like death aura. 'Even in death, you're getting in the way….' Raon clenched his teeth, sensing that Derus Robert had shattered the sky before dying. 'Derus Robert!'
